We are pleased to announce the recent hire of Natasha Cary, who will lead our team as Managing Director! Within this role, Natasha will provide strategic leadership in the overall sales direction and operational processes.

Natasha brings an extensive background in the hospitality industry to Destination South. Her decade-long tenure with Wolfgang Puck Catering and Restaurant Associates at the Georgia Aquarium resulted in leadership roles in multiple disciplines, including food and beverage sales and operations, event marketing, contract negotiation, project management and execution, personnel management, and much more. Her departing role at the aquarium was General Manager overseeing all food and beverage operations for private events as well as the café which served an average of 3,000 patrons daily visiting the attraction.

Natasha is also very active in the hospitality community, recently landing an invitation to the Atlanta Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International, a prestigious philanthropic organization of women who support one another in the culinary and hospitality field.

“Natasha brings to the team the absolute perfect combination of event specific sales and operational experience to lead our strategic growth initiatives, while fostering even greater relationships with our clients and partners,” says President and Founder of Destination South Cynthia Alford, DMCP. “Natasha understands both our vision and mission to set the standard of excellence in meeting and event planning services in our region and has made it her own.”

Destination South’s partnership with Natasha in creating exceptional events began over ten years ago. While with the Georgia Aquarium and Wolfgang Puck Catering, DSME and Natasha collaborated on some of Atlanta’s largest and most prestigious events to date.

Natasha’s Mediterranean roots make her a natural for the hospitality profession. She notes, “In the culture in which I was raised, sharing food and drink is showing love. You could say hospitality is in my blood.” Originally pursuing a career in banking, she quickly realized that nothing compared to the strength and communal spirit she felt by gathering friends and loved ones for celebrations and experiences. She earned a degree in culinary arts and never looked back.

Natasha and her husband Josh are the parents of two young sons, and she can often be found teaching them to cook. She enjoys playing tennis, is an avid reader in the neighborhood book club, and is looking forward to growing a vegetable garden. Of course, a favorite pastime is entertaining at home or meeting friends out for a great meal at one of her favorite Roswell restaurants. No special occasion is needed; for Natasha, there is always a reason to gather and celebrate.
