Destination South Meetings + Events is pleased to announce the recent growth of our Operations Department. Please join us in welcoming these three appointments to our team:

Tim Barrett, CMP, has been named Director of Meeting + Program Operations. An Atlanta hospitality veteran, Tim brings nearly two decades of experience to the role. Within this position, Tim is poised to expand the ever-growing demand for meeting management services by providing creative solutions backed with extensive logistic experience. Tim maintains a dynamic role in the meetings and events industry and currently serves as vice president of communications for Meeting Professionals International, Georgia Chapter (MPI Georgia).  He is also a long-time instructor for the University of Georgia Continuing Education program in Conference and Meeting Management.

Andi Chaney joined the team this summer in the role of Operations Manager. Andi brings dynamic experience in fundraising activities and events, walks, golf tournaments, as well as high-profile festivals such as the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival and the Shaky Knees and Shaky Beats Music Festivals. With a sharp eye for detail and mad multi-tasking skills, Andi ensures every event on her agenda is executed seamlessly and to its fullest potential.

Most recently, Kellie Bishop has been promoted to Operations Coordinator after a successful tenure as intern and production assistant.
