We’re kicking off this fun question series in an interview with TAMARA RAČIĆ. As Destination South’s Creative Services Manager, Tamara is an events professional that continues to push limits and infuse her creativity into every meeting, event and project she takes on. Enjoy getting to know a little bit more about her in the ‘Quick Ten’ interview below!

DSOUTH:  Thanks for taking some time to chat today, and answering ten top questions that our readers really want to know. First up, where are you from?
TAMARA:  Bosnia & Herzegovina.

DSOUTH:  Where did you attend college?
TAMARA:  Georgia State University.

DSOUTH:  Growing up, did you always have a dream of going into the events industry?
TAMARA:  I knew I always wanted to be in the hospitality industry. Working at Georgia State University on the campus events made me realize I loved creating events!

DSOUTH:  What do you enjoy most about working at Destination South?
TAMARA:  No two days are the same, especially on the creative team. We’re always brainstorming new ideas and concepts.

DSOUTH:  Outside of work what are your hobbies and interests?
TAMARA:  Traveling, music festivals, hiking and going to events around the city (Atlanta).

DSOUTH:  If a movie were being made about you which celebrity would you choose to play you?
TAMARA:  Angelina Jolie or Rachel McAdams.

DSOUTH:  If you could take only one more vacation where would you go?
TAMARA:  This is a tough one! So many places to see in the world, but I would go back to Portugal. I fell in love with their culture, food, architecture and their way of life is just magical. It was an overall feeling that I can’t describe in words. I would actually move there.

DSOUTH:  What’s your favorite ‘Friday’ jam? You know, end of the week celebration song?
TAMARA:  I don’t have just one favorite Friday jam, I listen to a lot of genres of music. It just really depends on my mood on Friday and that’s what I jam to.

DSOUTH:  What was the last thing you watched on TV and why did you choose to watch it?
TAMARA:  The new Beauty and the Beast Movie, it was family movie night!

DSOUTH:  Each and every day, what inspires you?
TAMARA:  If it’s for work I’d have to say all of the events that I attend outside of work. From music festivals to beer festivals, there’s always something new and exciting that I want to take back and try to incorporate in our events. In life, I’m inspired when I travel and experience things I normally don’t do in my day to day. Stepping outside of my comfort zone and trying new things always inspires me to think differently and freely.
