Campers Hike To Atlanta For Microsoft's Camp Ignite!

Destination South recently had the honor of producing one of the largest, single-day corporate events in Atlanta this summer. Attendees, 15,000, literally RAN cheering into Centennial Olympic Park for three hours of camping inspired adventure. From event concept to production, the Destination South team left no detail untouched in bringing the spirit of camping to an engaged audience. The event welcomed one and all to one of the most beautiful nights Atlanta has ever seen.

Under the stars in the legendary Centennial Olympic Park, in the pulsing heart of Atlanta, guests celebrated an event unlike any other. The evening included theme inspired decor, three live music stages, wild rides, interactive games and activities, strolling performances, and incredible food and drinks. Divided into four unique summer camp experiences, Destination South had something for every guest to enjoy as they went ‘Camping Around The World’. Camp Alpine
Filled with a host of adrenaline fueled activities luring guest interaction, campers came out to play! Friends raced to the finish line of the ultimate challenge obstacle course, repelled down the rock wall, and free fell from the quad bungee jump. The truly daring took to the stage and rocked out with one of Atlanta’s hottest rock bands at campfire karaoke!

Camp Glamp
A fan of the great indoors? Camp ‘glampers’ connected over the felt of billiard tables and yelled “Timberrr!” when the giant Jenga finally collapsed! The DJ in this area provided nostalgic mashups coupled perfectly with tried and
true favorites, whilst guests danced around a 25ft tall faux bonfire.

Camp Lakeside
Whether looking for low-key leisure or thrilling adventure, the Camp Lakeside area offered something for everyone. Miniature golf, badminton, target archery, remote controlled boat racing, KnockerBall, giant trike racing and souvenir crafting stations entertained campers all night long.

Camp Southwest
Guests reminiscing of rustic summers found their way to Camp Southwest to watch the sun set over the endless horizon while listening to the bluegrass harmonies of iconic southern bands – The Delta Saints and The Whiskey Gentry. Campers kicked back in a-one-of-a-kind lounge comprised of 3 enormous 25ft tall illuminated canvas teepee tents.
