Celebrating National Photo Month
It’s been said that a picture is worth a thousand words. However, when looking back over some of the amazing and historical photography from the past it seems that a photo can be worth so much more. Today, almost 200 years since the invention of the ‘pinhole camera,’ it’s easy to see how far photography has come…even with the setback of selfies! There’s no denying that photography has given the world incredible ways to capture moments in time and keep them alive forever.
In celebration of May being National Photo Month we challenged the Destination South Meeting + Events team to share their personal and amateur photography with us. Some shared photos that they were proud to have captured, while others shared photos that meant something meaningful to them. As a collection (appearing below in alphabetical order by name), we found our team’s photos to be quite inspiring, and think you will too!
