Destination South is pleased to announce its recent hire of Lindsey Elledge, who will join the team as Senior Program Development Manager. Within this role, Lindsey will manage and coordinate events and special programs for Destination South, as well as work on the development of corporate connections and future client development.

“I was attracted to Destination South due to the company’s prestigious reputation within the industry, as well as for the exceptional events and client satisfaction they are known for,” Lindsey shares with pride. “I believe I bring a lot to the table with my experience and look forward to the creative spirit and energy that Destination South puts forth each and every day.”

Raised in Marietta, Georgia, Lindsey is delighted to be called a ‘Georgia Peach.’ After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Auburn University, her first job was in Ireland working with IBM on a Wimbledon campaign. More recently she worked with Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center as an Event Coordinator and Levy Restaurants as a Corporate and Social Sales Manager. The Destination South team has welcomed Lindsey with open arms knowing that she is the best choice for the program development position. Her experience at the Georgia World Congress Center and with Levy as the lead in logistics for city-wide conventions of 10,000 plus make her a perfect fit for the large scale ancillary events that Destination South produces. And as an added bonus, Lindsey already has close existing relationships with many of our clients.

“Lindsey’s extensive experience in logistics, sales and marketing make her a rare find in our profession,” says President and Managing Director for Destination South Cynthia Alford, DMCP. “She’s passionate about serving others, and she has the resources, experience and reputation that drives Destination South’s position as the standard of excellence meeting and event planning services in our region.”

In addition to Lindsey’s career experience she has many different personal interests. She has danced ballet for nearly 20 years, is an elementary Sunday school teacher and currently plays on a Buckhead kickball team. In her down time she’s embraced a passion for traveling and for running – having completed some 5K races she now has an eye on running her first 10K and half marathon soon!
