Destination South Names Lorri McQueary As VP
Destination South is pleased to announce that Lorri McQueary has been named Vice President. Lorri began her career at DSME in 2004 as Creative Director, guiding and growing the firm’s endeavors in all aspects of event design as well as live and interactive entertainment. Her role and responsibilities grew quickly within the company, and in 2008, she earned the additional distinction of Marketing Director. Now as Vice President, Lorri further expands her position in creative direction, team leadership, and company growth strategies as a key liaison between all departments.
Lorri has invested countless hours in bringing clients’ dreams to life and serving the industry she loves. Under her leadership, Destination South successfully launched a new brand identity, brought a wide range of award-winning innovative events to fruition, and earned industry kudos that include being named ADMEI Rising Star in 2005 and one of Occasions Magazine’s 10 Most Influential Planners in Atlanta in 2010. It is her vision that has earned the company several Allie, Esprit and ADMEI awards for clients such as Microsoft, the Atlanta Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Starwood Hotels and Esomar. We are proud that she has served as co-executive producer of many of the events and productions that have helped solidify Destination South’s reputation as one of the top DMC/Meeting + Event Production companies in Atlanta and beyond.
President and Co-Founder Cynthia Alford, DMCP shares, “Lorri’s dedication to Destination South and longevity at our firm is truly rare in the meetings and hospitality industry. She has played a pivotal role in the success and growth of our company. Transforming people and places by crafting authentic experiences that engage and excite participants is simply in Lorri’s DNA. It is especially fitting and well deserved that Lorri be recognized with this promotion to Vice President. We are looking forward to the expanded role she will serve in fueling Destination South’s continued grown in Atlanta and throughout the DMC Network.”
